- A pre-wedding shoot is great for us to get to know each other better. You can see how I work and you become more comfortable in front of the camera under direction. You walk away with mementos of a great day out, images that you can enlarge and display at the reception venue or have them framed for at home. This is best done somewhere different and unique – not wedding location. So if you are getting married in the winelands or on the beach then we whisk you off to the centre of town or the Bo-Kaap; if you are getting married in town, then we do a small trip up the west coast, Clifton beach or somewhere in the Winelands. No hard rules, just loads of fun!
- The “Trash the Dress” shoot is a fun day after the wedding where we can literally TRASH your dress in any environment you choose, whether its in the sea or in a cityscape or on a farm somewhere. We don’t really have to trash the dress but its a day you get to do more daring things in your dress and not have to worry about guests or schedules.
- I would reccomend a second shooter for most weddings with more than 120 guests or more than a group of 6 bridesmaids and best men.
- I recommend that we meet at least one month before the wedding date to discuss the running order and photos required. I also recommend that we spend 2 hours capturing the ‘formal’ bridal portraits with the entourage and couple. This ensures that you are going to get the maximum exposure of your special day together, after all you will have these pictures for the rest of your life. It gives me plenty of time to get creative and give you the product that you wanted and paid for, photos that will remind you of how pretty and handsome the two of you looked on your grand day! Your guests will, I am sure, be accommodating as long as there are snacks and drinks to keep them nourished.
- I only use professional camera equipment (Canon) as well as back up equipment to ensure your peace of mind as well as mine.
